PoPJIM - Plug and Produce Joint Interface Modules
PoPJIM advances two key innovativeconcepts that will bring radical changes in machine tools design and use namely:

Joint Interface Module (JIM) as a self-optimising mechatronic element that controls the dynamic behaviour of a machine-tool during its interaction with the cutting process

Distributed Wireless Configuration and Control Network (DWCN) which allows for plug and produce capability and decentralised control of JIMs through a wireless communication network.
